Banners of Liberty: An Exhibition of Revolutionary War Flags

Celebrate the 250th anniversary of the “shot heard round the world” with a once-in-a-lifetime exhibition! Banners of Liberty opens on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the Museum of the American Revolution, bringing together 17 original Revolutionary-era flags in the largest collection shown in over 200 years.

This exclusive exhibit honors the political ideals, identities, and visual expressions of liberty that carried a new nation through war. Don’t miss a rare viewing of The Commander in Chief’s Standard, only shown once before since the Museum’s opening.

Kick off the exhibit with a lively plaza event, featuring:

- Refreshments & Revolutionary-era cooking demos
