A Million Miles Away Screening with the Philadelphia Film Society

In celebration of Mexican Week 2025, the annual community screening with Mexican Cultural Center (MCC) and the Philadelphia Film Society will celebrate the work of Alejandra Márquez Abella. The organizations will be holding a FREE screening of A MILLION MILES AWAY– a biopic on Jose Hernandez –to kick off a week-long facilitation of events hosted by MCC in honor of the beauty and diversity that is Mexican Culture.

The Mexican Cultural Center is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting a deeper understanding of Mexico’s rich heritage. Through cultural events and activities, we provide an inclusive space for diverse communities to explore and connect with Mexican traditions.
